I Have a Dream Zine

I was tasked with creating a zine of the “I Have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr. The goal of this zine was to create an editorial style while including impactful imagery. I wanted to incorporate imagery from the protests in the 1960s during the time of King’s speech as well as imagery from the Black Lives Matter protests. The zine is a way to view and read his speech while seeing the faces behind the movement and seeing how King’s message can still be applied today. I added a tear in the pages to show the protestors in the 60’s and the protestors today. With each side folded you can see each group holding each other’s signs representing how people are still fighting for equality and justice.
